WHAT IS A WEBINAR?
If you need an easy, inexpensive and convenient way to get educated on relevant industry topics and current trends, then WEBINARS are for you! Webinars are interactive, educational seminars presented via the Internet. All you need is an Internet connection and your computer speakers to join the Webinar for a live presentation or for an archive. Audio, video, slide presentation, polling questions and Q&A sessions give attendees an interactive communication experience, much like that of a live event.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A LIVE WEBINAR AND AN ARCHIVE?
The live Webinar is only available at the time and date noted, this is the initial broadcast and recording, during which you will hear the live presentation and be able to ask questions of the presenter. The recording is then archived and posted on the publication’s website and bnpevents.com, for 12 months, to view at your convenience.
WHAT SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ARE NEEDED TO VIEW A WEBINAR?
You will only need a computer with an Internet connection and speakers. You can check out specific requirements and test your system at http://event.on24.com/view/help/ehelp.html.
WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE COMPUTER SPEAKERS? IS THERE A NUMBER I CAN CALL?
Unfortunately, there is no phone number to listen to BNP Media Webinars. However, since you can access this event wherever you have an Internet connection, you will be able to login and view the event from any computer with the proper requirements.
WHAT IF I NEED HELP DURING THE WEBINAR?
A technical help link will be available on the event console or you can enter a question in the “submit a question” box. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org where someone will be able to assist you during the event.
WHAT IS THE COST TO REGISTER?
Most BNP Media Webinars are FREE. All you have to do is complete the registration fields and wait for the live event. Some BNP Media Webinars offering special education, AIA or CEU credit, may have a registration fee.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO ACCESS A PAID WEBINAR ONCE I PURCHASE IT?
Once you have successfully registered for any BNP Media Webinar, you will have access from the date of the live event through the archive (12 months.) You can login and view as many times as you like!
WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT FOR PAID WEBINARS?
We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express credit cards. Checks and purchase orders are accepted on special consideration. Please email email@example.com to inquire.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY FOR PAID WEBINARS?
Refunds cannot be processed. Please verify that the information is correct before submitting your payment. If you have questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
HOW DO I KNOW MY PAYMENT WAS SUCCESSFUL?
Once you have successfully registered, you will be taken to the event lobby and receive an email confirmation within 15 minutes. If you are not taken to the event lobby or do not receive a confirmation, please head back to the registration page and view the important instructions near the bottom for clarification. If you still aren’t sure, you can email us at email@example.com for help.
HOW CAN I GET A RECEIPT FOR MY PAYMENT?
Within minutes, you will receive two emails from the domain ON24.com: one with your credit card transaction receipt, and one confirming your registration with your username and password.
WHAT IF I DIDN’T RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL?
You may need to add the domain ON24.com to your safe sender’s list. Please do so, and then check your junk and spam email for confirmation. If you still do not see it, email firstname.lastname@example.org with the Webinar title in the subject line.
For FREE Webinars, if you cannot locate the confirmation, go to the registration page and try logging in with your email address. If you are not taken to the lobby page, the registration was not successful, please register again paying special attention to the instructions near the bottom.
WHERE AND WHEN CAN I LOGIN TO THE LIVE WEBINAR?
The registration page, lobby page and Webinar are all located at the same web address. If you haven’t bookmarked this page you can find it on the publication’s website, under Webinars or in the confirmation email.
The lobby will open 15 minutes prior to the event beginning. We suggest you login at this time to ensure computer compatibility. You can also test your system now.
WHAT IF I REGISTERED BUT, DUE TO SCHEDULING CONFLICTS, I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND THE LIVE EVENT?
The Webinar archive will be available for viewing for 12 months. Within 48 hours of the live event, you will receive an email that the archive is available and can be found at the same web address as the live event.
HOW DO I SUBMIT QUESTIONS TO THE PRESENTERS?
While viewing the Webinar, there will be a place to type your question. Once submitted, the presenters will address audience questions during the Q&A session. If time runs out and your question does not get answered, every effort will be made to follow-up in an email after the Webinar.
HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD A COPY OF THE WEBINAR?
The Webinar archive is available for 12 months from the date of the live event. During that time you can login and view the Webinar as many times as you like, and download a podcast or a copy of the slide presentation. Unfortunately, there is no option to download the entire Webinar at this time.
HOW DO I RECEIVE CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT?
Some BNP Media Webinars offer continuing education and/or AIA credit. Please check the registration page or email email@example.com to find out if an event offers continuing education. If it does, you need to view the Webinar in its entirety, take the quiz after the event (AIA only), and print out the certificate of completion for your records. Non-AIA members should seek approval from their state licensing board to receive credit.
HOW MANY HOURS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT DO I RECEIVE PER WEBINAR?
One professional development hour, or learning unit, is awarded per hour of the event. For example, if the event is an hour and a half you will receive one and a half hours of credit.
DO I RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION?
A certificate of completion is available for download in the event and you will receive an email within 48 hours after the event with a link to the certificate.
HOW IS MY CREDIT REPORTED?
For non-AIA members, please submit the event to your state licensing board. It is up to each individual to verify that a given course is approved. For AIA members, the event will be reported to AIA for you.
CAN A GROUP WATCH THE WEBINAR AND ALL RECEIVE CREDIT?
Yes, but also be sure to record your attendance in case of an audit. Our records only capture the attendance of the individual who registers for the Webinar. For AIA credit, every individual must take the quiz at the end of the presentation to receive AIA credit.
DO I EARN CREDIT FROM WATCHING THE ARCHIVE VERSION?
Yes, it is exactly the same as the live version.
WHY ISN’T MY AIA CREDIT SHOWING UP ON MY TRANSCRIPT?
Credit can take 4-6 weeks to appear on your transcript. If this time has passed, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out the status of your credit. You may not have passed the quiz with an 80% or better or supplied your AIA member number. If neither of these issues are the problem, you will have to follow up with AIA directly to find out the status.
