China is a "must-play" place for any corporation in today's business. Inevitably you will be competing with Chinese companies or with others who are leveraging China to their advantage over you. With a population exceeding 1 billion and an immense supply of low-wage workers, China's allure both as a consumer market and a superb location to manufacture and source products is immense. China's importance is apparent as perhaps the single biggest opportunity in business today.
The issue, therefore, is not "if" one should participate, rather "when and how" to participate. But, China's business and legal environments are paradoxical. They can be both exasperating and unpredictable. Although to the outside world it puts on a face of capitalism, China's political system is still rooted deep into communism and thus can be at times oppressive and inconsistent. Hence, it is pivotal for companies to develop a well laid out strategy and act on it with precise control.
Through this webinar, we will discuss the basic principals you should consider to proceed with your Chinese strategy. Leading the discussion will be Dr. Zhiming Zhou, general Manager for ChemQuest China and Daniel Murad, president and CEO.

Dan Murad, CEO and President, The Chemquest Group, Inc.
Dan Murad joined ChemQuest in 1996 from the Rohm & Haas Company where he was European Director, Industrial Coatings and Director of R&H's Corporate Marketing Board. He is past Founder and Chairman of the High Barrier Coatings Committee-TAPPI, and current Founder and Advisory Board director of ASC's Building the Industry Program. He has published a number of papers on topics ranging from strategic management issues to specific insight on the global coatings and adhesives markets.

Zhiming (Jimmy) Z.M. Zhou, Ph.D., General Manager, Chemquest China
Jhiming (Jimmy) Zhou has over 18 years' experience of active involvement in many aspects of adhesives and coatings in the United States, China, and the United Kingdom. He has been working on both pressure-sensitive adhesives and structural adhesives for a variety of applications, from electronic and industrial use to home and office products, from automotive and aerospace assembly to medical and optical products. He had held both senior technical and managements positions, including diversified experience in the innovation of special coatings, adhesives and primers (adhesion promoters). Also has experienced tremendous success in commercializing high performance adhesives and coatings in the United States, China and Europe. A corporate consultant across eight divisions in adhesives, polymer coatings and processing engineering.
